I am Maximilian Gödecke (*1995 in Berlin) and freelance german/hungarian photographer, based in Berlin. In my work I try to explore the facets of human life as well as the stories it produces. After completing my apprenticeship at Studio67 in 2019, I jumped right into the freelance market. Since then, from idea to project, I dedicate myself to my deep interest in accompanying people. The projects are created in hours of research on a topic as well as in spontaneous conversations while photographing on the street. I try to create a bond of trust in intimate portrait situations. For me, photography is not just a craft, but a bridge to bring people together through stories and to explore social dynamics.
In addition to carrying out and exhibiting my own projects, I am involved in knowledge transfer through workshops at adult education centers and in cooperation with NGOs.
